About Paula

Paula has been a Catholic educator for the past 27 years, serving the students in the communities of the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario, London District Catholic School Board, Wellington Catholic District School Board and the Halton Catholic District School Board. She has over 14 years of diverse leadership experience, culminating with her appointment in August 2013 to the position of Director of Education for the Halton Catholic District School Board.

A native of Brantford, Ontario, and a Catholic school graduate, Paula attended St. John’s College, completed her undergraduate degree in Religious Studies at McMaster University, her teaching degree at Brock University and obtained her Masters degree in Educational Technology from Charles Sturt University.

Throughout her career, Paula has worked as an elementary and secondary teacher, Religious Education department head, a curriculum consultant in the area of information & communication technology, a school principal, and superintendent of education with responsibilities for school operations and all programs that support student success, teaching excellence, leadership development and parent engagement. Paula also served as an Education Officer with the Ontario Ministry of Education, where she worked on a large-scale provincial project involving the improvement of student achievement through the collection and use of data.

A passionate teacher with a collaborative approach to leadership, Paula considers it a privilege and a source of great personal and professional satisfaction to play an active role in supporting, strengthening and sustaining the mission of Catholic schools in Ontario.
